When creating an account, we collect only:

  • Username (chosen by the user)
  • Email address
  • Password, stored securely as a bcrypt hash; never stored in plain text

We do not collect location data, browsing data beyond what is strictly necessary for the service to function, or any other personal data.

Data is processed exclusively to:

This website uses only a technical session cookie, which is strictly necessary to keep users logged in during their browsing session. No tracking, advertising or third-party analytics cookies are used. As a strictly necessary technical cookie, no consent is required.

2.5 Data retention

Data is retained for as long as the account remains active. Users may request deletion of their account and data at any time by writing to yo@joseacat.io. After deletion, data will be removed within 30 days.

mypackgearlist is a platform for creating, managing and sharing gear lists for outdoor activities. Using the platform implies acceptance of these terms.

3.2 Registration and account

Creating lists requires registering with a username, email and password. Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from their account.

3.3 User-generated content

Each user is solely responsible for the lists, descriptions and links they publish. The following content is prohibited:

  • Content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene or that infringes third-party rights
  • Malware, spam or misleading advertising
  • Content that infringes intellectual or industrial property rights

The site operator reserves the right to remove any content that violates these conditions, without prior notice.

3.4 Affiliate links

The platform allows users to add affiliate links to items in their gear lists. Each user is responsible for complying with applicable regulations on disclosure of commercial relationships (e.g., clearly identifying affiliate links). The operator of mypackgearlist does not receive any financial benefit from affiliate links published by users.

3.5 Service availability

The service is provided "as is" with no guarantees of continuous availability. The operator is not liable for interruptions, data loss or damages arising from use of the platform.

The operator reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any disputes arising from use of the platform, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in accordance with applicable law.
